9th Berlin Biennale (2016)

4th June 2016 to 18th September 2016

The 9th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art is being organized by KW Institute for Contemporary Art. The Biennale is open to the public from June 4 until September 18th, 2016.

Since its inception in 1998, the Berlin Biennale has become one of Germany’s most important events of contemporary art. It is shaped by the different concepts of curators appointed to enter into a dialogue with the city of Berlin, its general public, the people interested in art as well as the artists of this world. The previous eight editions of the Berlin Biennale explored a variety of exhibition formats and involved diverse curatorial agendas.
The Berlin Biennale explores artistic developments and visions from within the art scene of one of the most unusual cultural capitals in Europe where it also presents them. It has become a magnet for art lovers from all over the world and is continually praised by an enthusiastic audience as an experimental context-specific exhibition.
